TRIPP BAIRD is a founding Principal at PCGA. Mr. Baird has led transactions in active sports & recreation, sustainable living, organics, fair trade, healthy nutrition, wellness and relaxation/leisure. He is particularly focused on the growing market for sustainable ventures and the green economy. Mr. Baird also serves on the Advisory Counsil for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Prior to the founding of PCGA, he was a member of the North Castle Partners team, where he was primarily responsible for investigation, lead generation and introduction of non-solicited deal flow, as well as target industry and company analysis, financial deal modeling and valuation, bank negotiations and intern and new associate training.

Prior to his time with North Castle, Mr. Baird worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company in San Francisco, where he directed teams of analysts and researchers supporting strategic decisions for a number of Fortune 500 companies. Practice areas of focus included consumer products, M&A, global supply chain logistics, outsourcing, procurement and financial services. Individual projects he led or participated in resulted in over $500M in new revenues, and ~$250M in optimization/cost reductions. He previously worked for Goldman Sachs Global Equities Management Group in London where he focused on Pan-European equities strategy for the firm. Mr. Baird earned dual magna cum laude A.B.s from Harvard University.

Tripp is a devoted outdoorsman and athlete, having grown up skiing and snowboarding in Colorado, climbing in the White Mountains and the Gunks, surfing during the summers, and competing in a variety of team sports. He is an accomplished mountaineer, having summited numerous peaks in the Andes, Alps, Rockies, and Himalayan mountain ranges including Mt. McKinley/Denali in Alaska. He is an avid surfer, snowboarder, climber, yogi, tri-athlete, and endurance runner most recently completing the San Francisco and Maui marathons in the past year. He has previously worked as a rock climbing guide in Rai Lei, Thailand where he led multi-pitch 7b (5.12) class routes, as well as an on-mountain action photographer in summit county, Colorado.  At Harvard, Tripp rowed lightweight crew and played hockey. These days he can be found traveling with his wife, cutting turns at Tahoe or in the backcountry of the Sierras, paddling out at Ocean Beach and Santa Cruz or running along the bay with dog in tow.
