ROBIN SMITH is an Operating Advisor to PCGA.  His hands-on, senior operating experience in outdoors and active sports includes footwear, apparel and equipment responsibilities for major brands as well as for a publicly traded e-tailer. He was the EVP of Strategy and Development for the online pioneer Fogdog.com; the General Manager for Mizuno Sports; VP of Marketing for Avia Athletic Footwear (div. of Reebok); VP/General Manager for Donner Mountain (div. of Reebok); and the Director of Marketing for Cutter Laboratories (div. of Miles Labs/Bayer AG). He is founder and managing partner of Sport Ventures, LLC (www.sportventuresllc.com), a leading consultancy in the outdoor, recreation and active lifestyle industry, focusing on M&A, Biz Development, and board-level activities.

Mr. Smith is an innovative, entrepreneurial leader who has help start companies and successfully led them through fast growth phases while applying pragmatic business practices. He holds an MBA (Marketing & Finance) degree from Wharton and a BA degree (Economics) from Occidental College. Robin is a member of several industry boards and advisory boards. He is also a founding member of SportsOneSource LLC (www.sportnewssource.com) and a consulting member of Gerson Lehrman Group (www.glgcouncils.com).  His office is in Sausalito, CA and he lives with his family of four in Mill Valley, CA enjoying hiking, skiing and world travel.
