BRENT KNUDSEN is the founder and Managing Partner of Partnership Capital Growth Advisors.  Prior to founding PCGA, Mr. Knudsen was an original partner at North Castle Partners, a leading private equity firm targeting investments in the area of healthy living & aging, where he led investments in areas including spas, fitness clubs and nutrition. Prior to joining North Castle Partners in 1998, Mr. Knudsen spent 13 years founding, building, operating and advising growth businesses in the area of healthy/active living, including Golf Web, where he served as President and CEO, Bell Sports, where he was President of US Sports and Mass; and the Full Force Division of Specialized Bicycle Components, where he served as President.. Mr. Knudsen served as the original Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Price Club in 1985, and later held the same position at Costco before and after the merger of the two companies, during which time the company grew from a retail startup to $20B in revenue, becoming one of the world’s top ten retailers and today is a nearly $70B company. From 1983 to 1985, he was at Bain & Company primarily focused in the area of health care strategy and mergers & acquisitions.

Mr. Knudsen received a B.A. from the University of Utah, a J.D. from Georgetown Law School, and was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law and Business Schools. He currently serves on various private and public boards, is chairman of the Pepperdine University Seaver Board of Visitors, co-instructs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and is an active leader in his church and community.

Brent is a passionate athlete and lover of the outdoors.  Growing up in the Utah mountains in the winter and California beaches in the summer, Brent was an avid skier, surfer and athlete, certified as a ski instructor, achieving nationally-ranked status in tennis, and competing in swimming, golf and bike racing.  In college, Brent focused on distance running and has run over 30 marathons with a personal best of 2:40 (NY, 1982), numerous half marathons, and 10K’s.  He has also competed in 5 Ironman competitions with a personal best of 9:58 (Canada, 1989) and over 40 shorter distance triathlons, including the first US Olympic team trials (1990).  Brent was an early adopter of snowboarding in 1992 and today mostly enjoys surfing, snowboarding, running and triathlon, and most importantly, time with his 3 children and wife of over 26 years.
